INSIDERS TIP - BLOGGER OF THE MONTH

Aloha. I was lucky enough to be entered into a "Blogger Of The Month" competition with Style Fruits at the beginning of June, and guess what? I only wen' and won di'nt I! I kindly asked people to vote for me via my Facebook and Instagram, so if you were one of those people, I love you lots. I've never won anything in my life. Actually tell a lie, I won a stuffed turtle on a claw machine in an arcade once, but I can't really say that was the highlight of my life.

Anyway, they wrote a lovely article about my blog on their website which made me blush like a little tomato, which you can find here.

"You ladies fell hard for this blogger this month and it’s not hard to see why! Faye is truly a one-of-a-kind blogger! Her style is a unique mixture of goth, grunge and kitsch undertones. While Faye’s porcelain skin and raven black hair fits the goth-look bill, her taste in fashion is entirely something else, opting for faux furs and holographic materials.

On top of that, Faye is sassy in her writing, and wastes no time beating around the bush, giving her real honest opinions at all times making Almost Fayemous the stop to go to for beauty reviews you can trust. So whether you’re looking for a new perspective on fashion or a fun and reliable blog to read keep an eye out for Almost Fayemous! And keep up the good work Faye!"

If their kind words weren't enough, they've sent me a new hat from Asos which I can't wait to receive, so thank you once again to the people at Style Fruits, and anyone that has supported myself and the blog.

I can't say my blog is where I want it to be because it's not. Far from it. I don't get to blog half as much as I'd like to, and can't produce even a fraction of the creative ideas that I think of on a daily basis because I'm a one women band. I'm not gonna lie, it's hard. I crave the day that I'm recovered health wise, and able to get back into work again. That would mean being able to potentially pay for a photographer to help me out, and really be able to visually articulate the ideas that I have floating around that head of mine. I find it so frustrating that I can't shoot where I want because I do everything myself. On the other hand, I am extremely grateful for what I have to work with for now, and I'll just have to keep on going! Thank you so much again to everyone who voted for me, and also congratulated me! Much love x
